PCA SKIN BPO 5% Cleanser is a gentle and effective cleanser formulated with 5% benzoyl peroxide for antibacterial properties and a host of botanical extracts to clear, soothe and calm acne and breakout-prone skin. Functions: Anti-bacterial cleanser without the irritating surfactants in other acne cleansers. Brings oxygen to the follicles to kill the p. acnes bacteria and stimulate healing in the skin. Directions: Once or twice daily use PCA SKIN BPO 5% Cleanser for higher grades of acne. Must be used with sunscreen, as it is sun-sensitizing. Can be alternated with PCA SKIN pHaze 32 Acne Bar or PCA SKIN pHaze 1 Facial Wash for Oily/Problem Skin. Tips and tricks: Benzoyl peroxide can be surface irritating and may cause hyperpigmentation in higher Fitzpatrick (darker) skin types.
